Dr. Danielle DeSantis is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with over two decades of experience providing psychotherapy, psychological testing, supervision, and consultation. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology and completed both her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Rhode Island, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a special certification in Grief Counseling.
Dr. DeSantis brings extensive clinical experience to her work, having served diverse populations across the lifespan in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, residential treatment centers, hospitals, and university counseling centers. She has worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups, addressing a broad range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, parenting difficulties, stress, anger, self-esteem issues, and relational conflict. In addition to therapy, she has facilitated support groups and taught university-level courses focused on personal growth and emotional development.
For over a decade, Dr. DeSantis directed a large multi-site group practice, where she provided clinical supervision to both licensed professionals and trainees. She continues to oversee a dynamic group practice offering virtual counseling and comprehensive psychological evaluation services for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Her evaluations serve a variety of needs including diagnostic clarification, neuropsychological assessment, court-mandated evaluations, and referrals from educational and legal institutions. Areas of assessment include Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), personality structure, executive functioning, and social-emotional and behavioral functioning.
Dr. DeSantis utilizes a wide range of evidence-based modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, solution-focused therapy, and collaborative approaches. Her treatment style is integrative and tailored to the individual, supporting clients ages three and up. She is experienced in addressing a range of clinical concerns such as mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder, relationship difficulties, weight management, and life transitions.
She also offers clinical consultation services and remains committed to the training and mentorship of future clinicians through ongoing supervision of doctoral and master’s level interns and post-graduate professionals. Her work reflects a strong commitment to ethical practice, clinical excellence, and personalized care. In addition to her clinical work, she previously led a mindfulness meditation cruise in Greenwich Bay for five years, integrating guided meditation and holistic wellness practices in a unique community setting.
