Alison Goodnow is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with individuals and couples seeking to navigate life’s challenges with greater self-awareness, emotional balance, and connection. Known for her warm, grounded presence, Alison offers a supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

Alison holds a Master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Rhode Island and a Bachelor’s degree in Communicative Disorders with a minor in Psychology. She is also a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator and has completed advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which informs her integrative, evidence-based approach.

Alison brings extensive experience in treating anxiety, depression, mood instability, parenting stress, communication issues, and life transitions. She has a special interest in supporting individuals through perinatal and postpartum challenges, as well as helping couples strengthen their relationships, deepen emotional intimacy, and navigate conflict more effectively.

Drawing from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Alison tailors her approach to each client’s needs, always emphasizing collaboration, respect, and emotional safety.
