Jada Thompson

Jada Thompson is graduate student in the Couple and Family Therapy program at the University of Rhode Island. Thompson completed her undergraduate degrees of a Bachelor in Psychology and Human Development and Family Science also at URI. She is a certified mediator.

Thompson is an advocate of integrating patients’ interests into treatment and self-care plans. A fan of fashion herself, Thompson aspires to explore the impact of dopamine dressing on depression and other prevalent disorders and hopes to inspire patients and colleagues to pursue their interests and hobbies as possible treatment and/or self-care avenues.

Thompson has experience with working with couples, individuals, and families at URI’s campus-based Couple and Family Therapy clinic and has completed internships in a variety of settings: daycares, hospitals, offices, and schools. She hopes to bring these and other experiences to her work environment while fortifying skills in her building career.
